Man Arrested After Disturbance and Property Damage

CHRISTOPHER M. BROOME, 51, DOUGLAS

On the evening of April 23, 2025, deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence located in the area of West Baker Hwy and Willis Vickers Road out in the county. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with individuals at the residence and identified the suspect as 51-year-old Christopher M. Broome.

Broome became aggressive and confrontational and was causing property damage within the residence. Deputies observed a damaged door frame at the scene, which was attributed to Broome’s actions.

Despite initial efforts to deescalate the situation, Broome continued to behave in a disorderly manner. Following several failed attempts to deescalate, deputies placed Brome under arrest and transported to the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center where he currently remains.
