Taxi Tuesday Warrant Initiative

What many initially dismissed as a clever April Fools’ prank has proven to be anything but. On April 1st, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office launched a new weekly initiative called Taxi Tuesday — and just three weeks in, it's already delivering results.

Developed to facilitate the resolution of outstanding warrants; Taxi Tuesday aims to spotlight individuals with active warrants and encourage public involvement in locating them. Since its launch, the initiative has led to five arrests, ranging from probation violations to wanted felony fugitives.

“Taxi Tuesday is not just about making arrests — it’s about empowering our community,” said Sheriff Cole. “With the help of our app, citizens can now easily see who we’re looking for- and notify us if they spot someone. It’s another way we’re working together to keep Coffee County safe.” Stated Captain Todd Winkler; Captain of Criminal Investigations and the Narcotics Unit.

The name Taxi Tuesday may sound playful, but the mission is serious. Each week, the Sheriff's Office posts updates on individuals being sought, making it easier for residents to stay informed and take action if needed.

Residents are encouraged to download the Sheriff’s Office app and stay tuned for weekly Taxi Tuesday updates.

For more information or to submit a tip, visit the Sheriff’s Office website at www.CoffeeSheriffGa.gov or check out the app for the latest Taxi Tuesday updates. Together, the community and law enforcement can continue to make strides toward a safer Coffee County.
